SPICY SHRIMP & MUSHROOMS IN WHITE SAUCE Printed from COOKS.COM SAUTE: 10 to 15 fresh (frozen) shrimp, peeled & deveined Olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 c. fresh mushrooms, washed & sliced into quarters WHITE SAUCE: 3 tbsp. butter (butter) 3 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) 1 1/2 to 2 c. milk (depending on desired consistency) Spaghetti or linguini noodles, cooked Heat
pan, pour in about 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Saute shrimp, mushrooms
and garlic until shrimp is no longer transparent, about 7 to 10
minutes. Remove shrimp from heat and pour in white sauce. SAUCE: Cook butter and flour until butter is melted. Cook about 2 minutes longer. Gradually add milk until preferred consistency. Add salt and peppers. Pour into pan with shrimp and mushrooms, mix and serve on spaghetti or linguini noodles. |
